Mackerel Massacre Florida Style.

Fishing aboard the "Two C's" in Clearwater, Florida.

Dave is all smiles as they head out of the inlet and out into the Gulf. "I have my "Keep Catching" hat on so team Two C's is ready!

Dave's moment!

A short trip to Florida to see the in-laws, gives Billy Bob ample opportunity to get away on a half day fishing charter. "Yeah I wanted to get out fishing while I was down here, so I grabbed my brother in-law Dave and off we went." said Billy Bob. "After some searching online we headed for the docks. We landed at the dock of the Two C's  at Clearwater Beach Marina. I liked their website and the professional sign stood right out."  Captain Gregg came over and explained the plan, and with one more customer Kenny, the next morning we were on our way.

It wasn't long after the rods were set out that we started hitting fish. Nice size Spanish mackerel were soon coming over the side. Small silver spoons did the trick. Kenny caught the only kingfish of the day and it wasn't huge but helped make the day. We also caught a couple of Jack Crevalles a first for Billy Bob. "I had to hold the kingfish, it is such a neat fish." said Billy Bob.

All in all we landed well over fifty fish and threw most of them back to grow.  We did try a little shark fishing but nothing seemed to be in the area so we headed for the barn. Billy Bob even volunteered for chumming detail hoping to hook onto a monster shark.

Nice catch boys! Bring them here and I'll send you on your way with a smile.

Captains Log

Being as we were on vacation, we didn't have any place to put the fish. But we did grab a kingfish fillet and some mack fillets and put them to good use. "There was no need to wonder what to do with the fish remains." said the 1st mate Andrew "The pelicans make short work of it all."

"Follow me!" called Dave as he moved on ahead. "Grab those fillets and bring them with you. And make sure the pelicans don't get them."

"Didn't you read the sign?" called Dave. "We won't need to bring any fish back to the hotel. We're going to have it here." We sat down and the waitress took the fish and for less than $8.00 this is what came back. Your own fresh fish cooked to perfection. Who could ask for anything more?

Special thanks from Billy Bob and Dave to Kenny, Captain Gregg, and 1st Mate Andrew, also thanks to the Crabby Bill's chef for completing a perfect spring day of fishing. If your in Clearwater Fl.
